The cook is back....for a little bit!!!

We have really enjoyed having "U" back for the first time since going to the Seminary.
The order he will (God willing) be ordained in has a unique tradition.
Every Friday night they make and eat Pizza! This Friday we decided to partake in this tradition

"U" graciously let his mother help with the cooking

Fire ALWAYS makes onions taste better

the order was founded in Argentina where they put chopped up boiled eggs on their pizza (its really good)

The final result!!!
Smoked motzerella, apple-wood bacon, and boiled egg - on left
Smoked motzerella, apple-wood bacon, and onions - on right

The tradition goes on!

Crucian Dad's father has had the tradition of always buying the first bicycle for all of his grandchildren. Sometimes he buys the second and third ones also. GMAC is no exception, she has been talking about getting a bike for some time now and Papa (that's what they call him) sure did deliver. She squealed for joy and kept saying "my bike!"

Feast of St Nicholas

Today the Church celebrates the Feast of St Nicholas. Traditionally this was the time when parents put presents and sweets into children's stocking hung by the mantle (the Dec 25th thing came a while later) Our family has always held on to this tradition. Mallu was able to find these really nice religious statues for a great price(don't worry we also gave them some candy!)
