Morning Prayer

One benefits of being snowed in is that the family can share our mornings together. Normally I am long gone before anyone is up so we are all enjoying this time together.

This morning we started by by saying Lauds or the morning office. We were really grabbed by this reading from Tobit

Tobit 4:14-15,16,19

Be careful, my child, in all you do, well-disciplined in all your behavior. Do to no one what you would not want done to you. Give your bread to those who are hungry, and your clothes to those who are naked. Whatever you own in plenty, devote a proportion to alms giving. Bless the Lord God in everything; beg him to guide your ways and bring your paths and purposes to their end.

We are back!

We got back home safely on Sunday late evening, I must say prayers carried us home. The drive was great until we were an hour away form home, from that point, it took over 3hrs to get home. It was about a 13 hr drive! There was lots of ice and traffic. We were very blessed to have some good friends, who came out and dug us in; THANK YOU!

The highways were crowded and there were large stretches of 2"-3" of ice

This is one of the major roads in our neighborhood... it was interesting controlling the van
